This DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 iron is very good, the steam pressure is powerful and the heat controls accurate. Some people have complained that the DeLonghi Stiromeglio iron can spit water - it will do so if you set it on the lowest heat setting - But you shouldn't be using steam if your iron needs to be cool.

The amount of steam generated and disbursed through the iron is very strong and takes out every wrinkle instantly! Being that the seperate steam generator holds all the water, the actual iron is lighter and I just love the cork handle! It's cushiony and makes it so much more comfortable to iron!

A couple friends recommended this one. As a home sewer, I appreciate the flash of steam with the press of a button. The design of the iron gives one a nice point with which to press in narrow areas easily. The reservoir of water (about 650 ml. capacity) is adequate for quite a bit of ironing. I have had this iron over a month and have only filled the reservoir twice.
